I’m thrilled to be recognised by the Australian Guild of Music & Speech (AGMS) with a Top Teacher Award, for the student with the highest mark from Grade 7 to Fellowship for practical music in Western Australia in 2023.
My student Joya completed an associate-level Professional Performance Diploma in Electronic Organ, and received the Dux Atrium WA Award.
We weren’t able to make it over to Brisbane for the award ceremony last month, so the awards have been posted to me. I caught up with Joya this morning to pass on her awards.
Joya is currently in her final year of a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Western Australia, majoring in Electronic Music and Sound Design.
