The Compton Theatre Organ in Nedlands

Music has always been my passion.

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the organ. My instrument of choice is a Yamaha Electone, though in 2015 I branched out into the theatre organ world as well. I’ve been an active member of the Theatre Organ Society of Australia – Western Australia Division ever since, where I’m the bulletin editor and social media manager. I regularly perform at the free concerts we put on the first Sunday of the month at the John Leckie Pavilion in Nedlands.

I teach organ, piano and theory of music privately as Music with Simone; I’m an Accredited Teaching Member of the West Australian Music Teachers’ Association (WAMTA). I have been a WAMTA Council member since 2017, and Secretary since 2020.

I am a published arranger, with piano and organ arrangements for sale on Sheet Music Plus and Sheet Music Direct.

Singing is also something I enjoy, and have performed at the Ellington Jazz Club on a couple of occasions. I recently sang in the Born to Sing 1000 Choir at the Perth Concert Hall on 11th June 2023.
