This time 11 years ago I was in Bangkok, Thailand, attending the 2012 Rotary International Convention. I was kept exceptionally busy, as I presented a keynote speech on social media at the International Institute (a pre-Convention activity for the senior Rotary Leaders), before participating in a panel session that same day.
During the Convention itself, I presented in 2 other panel sessions (Using Social Media to Strengthen Your Club and Using Social Media to Focus and Increase Humanitarian Service) and had to turn down an offer to moderate another social media panel session as I was already committed to another event during that same time slot! (I did however recommend someone else to fulfill that role, who was delighted to be asked!)
When I wasn’t busy with panel sessions, I was at the booth for the Rotarians on Social Networks Fellowship (ROSNF) that I founded, meeting with Rotarians and Rotaractors from all over the world.
While I’m no longer a part of ROSNF, I’m still happy to share my knowledge and assist Rotarians with any digital marketing, including social media!
